Deborah Weber is an attorney with over 30 years of experience in practicing exclusively in the areas of tax representation of clients before the Internal Revenue Service and the New York State Department of Tax and estate planning. She was one of the founding members of Bluestein and Muhlbauer, who, with her longtime business partner and friend Gary Bluestein, represented thousands of clients and successfully obtained resolutions through all matters of controversy, beginning with audit through the collection process. During law school, Deborah had a clerkship with the late Surrogate Judge Joseph Mattina, starting her career-long involvement and interest in estate planning and administration to assist individuals in planning for and dealing with the ultimate question faced by all – “What happens to my loved ones when I am no longer here?” In that regard, Deborah often jokes that she has career security in that she handles the two things which all people are certain to experience in life – Death and Taxes.
With her new business, Weber Law Office, LLC, Deborah continues sharing and providing to her clients her lifelong experience of representing taxpayers experiencing difficulties with the Internal Revenue Service and New York State and clients strategizing how best to achieve their maximum transfer of wealth to their families and beneficiaries with minimum tax ramifications.
In addition to private practice, for 25 years, Deborah was an Adjunct Professor of Tax Practice & Procedure at the University at Buffalo School of Law. Deborah is a Past President of the Western New York Chapter of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York. Deborah frequently lectures and writes on a variety of topics relating to tax representation and estate planning and administration for numerous local and national professional groups.
